Hi, I'm Callan, and I am passionate about Anatomy and Physiology. I have my bachelor's degree in History and Philosophy of Science and minors in Philosophy and Religious Studies. While I was an undergraduate, I had the opportunity to intern in Autopsy Pathology, that is when I became fascinated with Anatomy and Physiology. This internship led to full-time employment in the largest cadaver lab in Western Pennsylvania.My love for Anatomy inspired me to create and supervise an Anatomy-based internship for undergraduates. This course teaches basic anatomy and physiology and is available for pre-med, pre-dental, and pre-health students. I designed this internship with my personal belief in mind that doctors cannot be precise in their work if they do not have a firm understanding of the inner workings of the human body. I believe it is important that physicians learn these things as early as possible so that they can become the most effective in their field.As you can probably already tell, I mostly tutor in anatomy and physiology. I believe that I am meant to teach these subjects. I have over five years of experience tutoring first-year medical and dental students and undergraduate students as well. My tutoring style focuses on teaching even the most difficult subjects in a way that makes sense. My students enjoy learning how everything is connected in anatomy. I pride myself on my ability to focus in on each student's learning methods and adapt a lesson plan that tailors to their needs. Each person learns differently, and I take the time to figure out the best strategies for each student. When I am not obsessing over anatomy and physiology, I enjoy building guitars, snowboarding, trying to be a comedian, and cooking.
